Big Thanks to all who assisted on the day, As usual it was the same small group who carry the resonsibility of fund raising and working bee's.

Dear All,
Volunteer of the Year Awards - CA
Cycling Queensland is seeking nominations from the
Clubs for persons suitable for consideration in the National Volunteer of the
Year Award. Nominations should contain all relevant information as to the
nature and extent of the volunteer work undertaken by the Nominee and be lodged
in the Cycling Queensland office by close of business 23 October 2009.
The nominations received will be considered by the Association and a successful
nomination will be invited to attend the Awards dinner in Melbourne.
Each State Volunteer of the Year will be provided with
return air travel to Melbourne; accommodation for one night; a ticket to the
Cyclist of the Year Awards dinner and be presented with a plague in recognition
of their services.
Volunteer of the Month Awards –
CQ
CQ also have in
operation a Volunteer of the Month Award and all Clubs
are invited to put forward the names of worthy volunteers. Nominations
will be considered by CQ and the winners will be advertised on the web and
presented with a plaque in recognition of their services.

630 ABC North Queensland community breakfast for Ride to Work Day, Wednesday 14th October 2009. When and where? 6am to 8am the Seaview Hotel on Townsville’s Strand. There’ll be a free breakfast for all and competitions to win some exclusive 630 ABC North Queensland cyclist shirts. Come down and meet the crew, while Paula Tapiolas from the 630 Breakfast program broadcasts live from 6:15am to 7:45am.
